a new leaf...
Apr. 5th, 2006 11:21 amI'm going back to programming things for fun again!
I'm working on a mix of a jabber server and a 3D rendering platform. It will make sense later :)
as of this point:
- initial server test OK (thread pooling - now to add asynchronous support and XML parsing)
Other than that:
- on website break. I'm going to continue translating my website to other languages as I get more comfortable in those languages
- MacOSX : photo manager based on distributed databases + search and browse. 6 months of (unpaid!) 18 hour days. I'm cleaning this up and prepping it for show
some other stuff I might mention later - or not.
As I recover interest in this stuff I'm looking for C programming communities.. my lack of anyone to talk to about technical stuff is what shut me down of programming to begin with.
you try to be a programmer in a town where average education is grade 8-10 - and almost noone is online (at the time) let alone a programmer...
I've been having troubles getting myself back into shape ever since I moved down to Vancouver. Extreme poverty, occasional periods of starvation and homelessness and the like have all taken their toll. Now that I'm working for a place that actually pays me a reasonable paycheque (The Brick - I'm doing filing) I'm starting to recover.
