There are many lessons of that period of history that are appropriate in these days. 'tis worth the study.
Me,I'll go back to reading Alan Moore and David Lloyd's fine book "V for Vendetta".

'Tis been a good day for home details. I've mostly got my living room back and the kitchen is almost pretty.
New roommie's settling in nicely.
...we'll have this place wired up in NO time at all :)
Been offline most of today while system goes through major update. Back now.
I've got curtains in my bedroom finally... however they're shower curtains *heh*
Practicality, efficiency, affordability THEN pretty.

... but I like pretty.
