I would like to measure the support in the LiveJournal community for equality for all, regardless of race, creed or sexual orientation. There is no bribe of a miracle or anything like that. If you believe in equality for all and want to show your support, then simply add 'equality for all' to your interests.

I've decided I like this wording so I'm following along... and posting this.

Happy Thanksgiving to all you out there who celebrate that thing this weekend!

on a more serious note...

[livejournal.com profile] nakedteddybears posted this story.

that religion mostly confuses me... however this is definitely an example of real Christian values. Strength to them and may they keep their faith strong. And also - may this never happen again.

quoting the same ref [livejournal.com profile] nakedteddybears quoted:
"(T)he Amish community, which buried five of its little girls this week, is collecting money to help the widow and children of Charles Carl Roberts IV, the man who executed their own children before taking his own life. A serene Amish midwife told NBC News on Tuesday that this is normal for them. It's what Jesus would have them do."

in many ways the Amish are kind of cousins - as my Father's Father's family are Mennonite.
